Matilda ~ FANCY BROKE!....a horse like no other. I truly believe She can take you to whatever finals you want to qualify for! She wasn't started under saddle til late her 4yr old year and over that winter took to cattle and barrel racing with a sense of ease.....she just has that, I want to please, attitude and there's no turning back! Been hauled to shows and rodeos for the past year & a half.

Runs 1 & 2D times at big and small shows. Matilda has a very quick fast stride leaving a barrel, as soon as you quit riding forward she rates right down for the turn. Ride square, quiet and correct and TRUST that she is going to do her job and you just cant go wrong. Not a barrel hitter, if she hits one its almost always leaving it because her rider gets in a hurry. And whatever you do, don't try to handle her around a barrel, it's not necessary! Will take the right rider to be able to buy her, she's not one that just anyone will be able to get on and go. Just use a little rope nose hack or light bit. The more confident you ride the more confident she runs! She's the type that doesn't need much tuning on just walk and trot her thru the pattern a time or two and you're good to go. Will walk, trot, lope around the barrels round and correct and relaxed.

You can make mistakes and She can still clock up! Had a friend run her last weekend, 1st time she ever ran her, was 2nd in the class and 2nd fastest time of the day!

She is started on the heeling side(live cattle and a Smarty dummy). She's very catty when working cattle, whether out in the pasture or in the arena.

Matilda is quiet for kids to be around-pet, brush, lead, but I won't sell as a kids horse. She's quite quick in her turns and feel like she would be better suited as an adults rodeo horse. She Is a very 'feely' horse, can sense your emotions, so again, think she'd be a nicer match for a higher caliber rider.

Up to date on everything, and acts like a broke horse should for vaccinations, shoeing, baths, etc. She hauls really well, eats and drinks on short and long weekend trips. Hauls in slant load trailer or stock. Not the spooky type but sometimes will look at different/new stuff. Different noises catch her attention over things.

She has an enormous amount of try and genuinely wants to please. Very very broke, she's up for sale for personal reasons and her new home will have to be approved as she's a pretty special horse. I've been training horses for 25yrs, she has that IT factor we're all looking for to take us to the top. I thought I'd try keeping her but I can't mentally get out of trainer mode and she deserves better, mentally & competitive strong rider. We also bought a new place this spring so I wasnt able to haul as much this year and she's WAY TO NICE to sit and be a pasture pal. Won 2 rodeos this summer, 1 was by 6/10, the other had 70+entries and won a buckle! Will run in the mud, deep, hard, big, small track, etc.

Would consider partial trade for a colt [3-5yr old] that isnt started on the barrels, nothing that is all race bred or been in race training or on the track.

Pre purchase checks welcome at your expense. More videos on YouTube, just search Poco Little Spooky

Hurry and buy her now so you have the winter to get with her and are ready for 2018 rodeo season!
